The “Balance Your Life Road Tour” Kicks off Season Two in Savannah, GA in Partnership with the Southern Women’s Show

“The Balancing Act” morning show on Lifetime Television is ready to hit the road and embark on a 10-city Road Tour across the country again in 2012.

(Pompano Beach, FL) The “Balance Your Life Road Tour” first joined the Southern Women’s Show in 2011, and the 2012 tour kicks off in Savannah, GA on February 17-19, at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center.  The “Balance Your Life Road Tour” is projected to reach over 250,000 women in person and millions more through online and broadcast, which will in turn boost the tour’s visitor number to a new high.

One of the most highly anticipated events in Savannah, the annual Southern Women’s Show, attracts thousands of local women each year with fashion shows, cooking demonstrations, beauty tips, health screenings, decorating ideas, and personal growth opportunities —all tailored especially for women— as well as celebrity appearances. The Journey to Health & Wellness for 4 Reality Stars Begins January 30th on “The Balancing Act” on Lifetime Television

(Pompano Beach, FL)  After multiple casting calls, auditions and screen tests, four Reality Stars between the ages of 20-60 have been chosen for “A Lifetime of Health & Wellness Makeover™.”   “The Balancing Act,” which airs on Lifetime Television, has put together a demanding program for these Reality Stars which will include working with the nation’s top experts in health, nutrition, fitness, beauty, lifestyle and empowerment.

The journey begins on January 22nd in San Diego, California at the Premiere Fitness Camp, La Costa Resort and Spa where the four women will go through a complete physical evaluation with the camp experts followed by their week long boot camp.

The journey continues on as “The Balancing Act” takes the Reality Stars to the L.A. FIT Expo in Los Angeles.  On January 28th and 29th they will be introduced to the fitness world, receiving the education and inspiration they need for their six month journey.

Chef Gale Gand will be Sweetening Up “The Balancing Act” Kitchen in 2012!

Award Winning Food Network Star, Gale Gand will join BrandStar Entertainment’s Hit Morning Show, “The Balancing Act” on Lifetime TV as a new celebrity Co-Host.

(Pompano Beach, FL) BrandStar Entertainment’s premiere women’s show “The Balancing Act” on Lifetime Television, welcomes their newest addition to the show– Celebrity Chef Co-Host, Gale Gand. Chef Sara Mouton Joins “The Balancing Act’s” as a New Co-host to Help Spice Up the Kitchen

Sara is the food editor for Good Morning America and will now be a Co-host for The Balancing Act morning show on Lifetime TV

Moulton is an American chef, cookbook author and television personality as well as a food editor for Good Morning America.  For twenty one years, she was also the chef of the executive dining room at Gourmet until the magazine’s publisher, Condé Nast Publications announced on October 5, 2009, that the magazine was ceasing publication. She is the host of Sara’s Weeknight Meals on PBS, a public-television network and was one of the founders of the New York Women’s Culinary Alliance.

November 15th, 2011 – Branded Entertainment pioneers, O2 Media and their premiere women’s morning show on Lifetime, “The Balancing Act,” proudly bring their Road Tour home to South Florida closing out the last leg of the 2011 tour in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  The Road Tour crew is excited to bring sponsors like Lakeview Farms and Bausch & Lomb to Broward County and introduce their new products to fair attendees.

Over the past decade, American’s have seen the Baby Boomers move into retirement, Gen Xers grow up into responsible adults, Gen Y take on parenthood and most recently Gen Next’s impact on American culture.

The generations of women who are predominantly giving birth fall into the Gen X and Gen Y group. Although each generation is unique in characteristics, as mothers they blend these characteristics together formulating a unique Hybrid Mom.

  • Today, women who have a baby are most likely to return to work in less than 6 months. The Boomer Generation Mom built this bridge to working motherhood.
  • The Gen X Mom who struggled(s) is constantly seeking the right work-life balance and is paving the way for the Gen Y Moms, who tend to tackle life holistically.
  • The Gen Y Mom is strongly independent, self-confident and appreciates mothers of the past. They are more open to new, different products and services for their children… brand heritage is just not that important.

As the Hybrid Mom gains more experience, her perspective changes and shifts toward more practical choices. However, she does keep some of her foundational attitudes and integrates new perspectives, as she adds the priority of children:

  • Hybrid Moms tend to be more conservative when enjoying life, rather than ‘living on the edge’ or making spontaneous choices.
  • She tends to worry about the future more than women without children.
  • She’s on a constant quest to get the biggest bang for her buck and refuses to sacrifice value for price.
  • Moms account for 85 percent of all household spending.

What does the Hybrid Mom want from brands?

According to eMarketer, a research and analysis digital marketing and media firm, more than 40% of all women who go online in the US – approximately 35 million of them- are mothers who have children under 18 at home.  These women, known as ‘mommy bloggers’ utilize the internet as a way to network with other women, sharing parenting tips, news, favorite shopping spots and more.

“The Balancing Act” is the national TV show that I am a producer for and we have a blogging community of 35+ mommy bloggers.  This is a key element in our Brandutainment™ model; Brands that are on our TV show also have opportunities to engage our bloggers and for our bloggers to engage their followers with that brand information.  This type of information sharing and spreading of ideas has created a shift in the way moms make decisions. Mom Blogs have paved the path to recommendations based on personal experience. Women trust women, not brands tooting their own horns.

An active conversation between women about a specific brand – this word-of-mouth type sharing – has become a way for brands to engage women. Alternatively, brands are able to gather information from the sources themselves – altering the way in which advertising messages are created and implemented. Brand spending and mommy blogger influence is directly related:

  • According to eMarketer, advertising on blogs will top $746 million by 2012, more than twice the figure for 2007.
  • A 2009 study by BlogHeriVillage and Compass Partners that found that 23 million women read, write or comment on blogs weekly.
  • According to Mom Central Consulting, 96 percent of moms value the recommendations they find on mom blogs.

All things considered, it’s evident that the Hybrid Mom is more dynamic than ever. She no longer aspires to be of the likes of June Cleaver; she’s a multi-tasking, multi-dimensional woman balancing her career, family, finances and everything in between. Today’s mom isn’t just buying diapers and cleaning supplies – she’s responsible for the majority of her households buying decisions.  These decisions aren’t solely based on brand loyalty, emotional purchasing or persuasive advertising.  They’re based on conversations between women with whom she trusts.

O2 Media’s ‘Balance Your Life Road Tour’ Visits Children’s Hospital with ‘Your Baby Can, LLC’

(Pompano Beach, FL)  O2 Media’s “Balance Your Life Road Tour” adds a unique “extra stop” while touring in Birmingham.  The Road Tour crew and tour sponsor, Your Baby Can, LLC, will schedule a visit to the Children’s of Alabama hospital in Birmingham.  Children’s of Alabama is a private, not-for-profit hospital which this year is celebrating its 100th Anniversary!  And, in honor of their Centennial Anniversary as well to bring the joy of learning to the children, Your Baby Can is donating products to their child life program so that kids can enjoy a fun, interactive approach to learning despite having to be in a hospital setting. 

Your Baby Can Read!® is a multi-sensory program that uses a combination of DVDs, books, flashcards, and games to help parents guide their child through the learning process.  These items will be donated to the hospital so that countless kids can benefit from the multi-award winning program during their stay. Your Baby Can encourages learning through interaction and creative play to assist parents in making the learning process a fun and memorable experience for the whole family! This is no doubt a gift that will continue to give for years to come.
